A novel analog controller design scheme for LLC resonant converter used in battery charging application

A new generation of batteries must be charged according to the charging curves recommended by battery manufacturers. For high reliability, low cost, speed, and pulse protection ability, controller these chargers are commonly designed analog circuits. Analog controllers can implemented internal circuits ICs with additional passive elements. This paper proposes a design approach for charger applications an LLC converter. The proposed stands on novel method applying well-known least-squares (LS) identification designing classic changing problem problem. Compared other methods, benefits from desired structure performance, simultaneously. Here, modelling converter has been carried out first harmonic approximation (FHA) method. design, linear model extracted linearizing non-linear FHA model. In addition, providing reduced switching losses increased efficiency, elements resonance tank isolation transformer ratio have operate in zero-voltage (ZVS) region. To verify converter, some simulation experimental results provided.
